Hand Sculpted Porcelain Orchid Necklace by Dawn Vertrees.

About the process of making each Orchid:

Each petal is hand sculpted out of porcelain and placed over a sculpted bail. After drying for a week, the pendant is fired at Cone 6 (2230 degrees).
The pendant is then hand painted using several glazes and then fired again at Cone 06 (1830 degrees). The glazes add additional strength to the porcelain making them wearable pieces of art.
