What are Capiz Shells?
Capiz shells are actually the outer shell of a marine mollusk, more commonly called “windowpane oyster”, which is found only in the shallow coastal waters of the Philippine and Indonesian Island chains. They are plentiful and the Philippine Government is supportive of their harvest. Their use in decorative handmade products violates no environmental or other legal regulations. The lotus flower tea light holder is available in a rainbow of colors. They are perfect for gift giving, weddings and home décor. The shells are flame resistant.
